Why Volunteer?

One World Market depends on volunteers to help with the daily operation of the store. Volunteers share ideas about how to make our store successful and help fulfill our mission to assist artisans and communities around the world.
 
Volunteers learn about the handicrafts we sell and tell the stories of the artisans who make them.  In this way, volunteers build cultural understanding and form a vital link between customers and our local communities to artisans and their communities. 

What Our Volunteers Do:
One World Market volunteers provide many important services including;

• Interacting with customers
• Selling merchandise
• Unpacking Merchandise
• Creating merchandise displays
• Recruiting volunteers
• Help with off-site sales
• Helping with our Annual Rug Event and other off-site sales
• Speaking to outside groups about our organization
• Repair broken crafts
